Clear Quartz is known as the "master healer" and will amplify energy and thought, as well as the effect of other crystals, besides being inspiring and beautiful. It absorbs, stores, releases and regulates energy. Quartz balances and revitalises the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes. Cleanses and enhances the organs and acts as a deep soul cleanser, connecting the physical dimension with the mind. The Quartz Crystal attracts the powers of light and energy. If you can, wear a clear quartz as jewelry, whenever necessary, when there is a need for balancing, like always.
Chakras also called wheels of Light, allow our life energy to flow, and therefore need to be balanced and in harmony.
Energy centers translate the spiritual into the physical, the invisible into the visible, or, more broadly, what is thought into what is felt.
In short, chakras are the mechanisms that turn Knowing into Experience, and keep our body and mind healthy.
Sit or lie comfortably, start with your red base chakra, feel/see how it turns clockwise in a harmonized manner, when it feels balanced move up to your orange sacral chakra, repeat the feeling/seeing of it turning clockwise in a balanced way, then step by step move up to yellow solar plexus chakra, green heart chakra, blue throat chakra and indigo brow/third eye chakra and balance them, when you reach your crown chakra, just above the top of your head, you will "see" flowing bright white light, let this light surround your entire body with a sense of peace, Love, happiness and gratitude.
The Greeks and Romans learned about perfumes from the Egyptians. Mark Antony gave Queen Cleopatra a perfume factory because of her interest in perfumes, in fact, Cleopatra was so interested in perfumes, she wrote a recipe book for making perfumes.
To make ancient perfumed ointments, a method that is still used today, you spread flower petals, containing the desired fragrant substance, over fat. The fragrant substances in the petals, called essential oils by perfumers, dissolves in the fat. More petals are added until the fat is saturated with perfume. To make ancient perfumed oils, they extracted perfume by mixing herbs, flower petals, leaves, or seeds with hot non-acidic vegetable oil made from pressing olives. Then let the mixture soak at 30-40°C. Then press the mixture through a bag to extract the perfumed oil from the pressed olive mixture and stored in ceramic vessels. Because ancient perfumes were made from olive oil, they could be consumed and were often added to wine, which is something I haven't heard about before, interesting.
To use perfume made from its natural source is beneficiary, in many ways, to the toxic, chemical and cheaper mixture most often found and used today.
1991 study performed by the EPA found that numerous potentially hazardous chemicals are commonly used in fragrance, including acetone, benzaldehyde, benzyl acetate, benzyl alcohol, camphor, ethanol, ethyl acetate, limonene, linalool, and methylene chloride
One of the leading pioneers in contemporary all-natural perfume is Mandy Aftel. In her fascinating book Essence and Alchemy: A Natural History of Perfume she describes natural essences as “compressed vitality” and notes, “We are bombarded by department store perfumes that shout their presence and linger monotonously and pervasively on the body and in the air, but the true magic of perfume eludes us. We have lost touch with what drew our kind to the smell of flowers and herbs in the first place, and with the rich and tangled history of our species and theirs.”
September’s birthstone, sapphire, is said to represent the purity of the soul.
Ancient Persians called sapphire the “Celestial Stone” and was the gem of Apollo, Greek God of prophesy.
The French of the 13th century believed that sapphire transformed stupidity to wisdom, and irritability to good temper.
Sapphires occur in all colors of the rainbow with the exception of red, which is ruby, but the Sapphire of September and Virgo is blue. Blue Sapphire is said to hold the records of development of civilization and provides a connection with the intuitive and psychic realms. Sapphire promotes cleansing of the Earth's atmosphere and transmute negative energy. Blue sapphire is believed to give mental focus and clarity, works on the throat and third eye chakra, and is good for transmitting one's highest wisdom.
