Oil pulling, also known as "kavala" or "gundusha," is an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique that involves swishing a tablespoon of oil in your mouth on an empty stomach for around 20 minutes.
It supposedly draws out toxins in your body, primarily to improve oral health but also to improve your overall health.
Most microorganisms inhabiting the mouth consist of a single cell.
Cells are covered with a lipid (fatty) membrane, which is the cell’s skin. When these cells come into contact with oil, “a fat,” they naturally adhere to each other.
There is no question that oil pulling lessens the bacterial load in the mouth. And as we all know, the mouth is the gateway to the body.

In the morning, before breakfast on an empty stomach you take one tablespoon oil - sesame seed, coconut or olive oil are my preferences - in the mouth but do not swallow it.
Move Oil Slowly in the mouth as rinsing or swishing fifteen to twenty minutes. This process makes oil thoroughly mixed with saliva. Swishing activates the enzymes and the enzymes help draw toxins out of the blood. The oil must not be swallowed, for it has become toxic.
